IOTA Foundation and Tony Blair Institute Collaborate for Inclusive Digital Trade

The IOTA Foundation has forged a strategic partnership with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to develop open digital infrastructure aimed at fostering inclusive trade and digital identity solutions. The collaboration targets governments, small businesses, and underserved communities globally, with initial focus areas in Africa.

Modern economic systems often suffer from fragmentation and exclusivity. This initiative seeks to counteract those challenges by creating open-source, standards-based public goods. The systems will prioritize interoperability and shared governance principles to build trust across digital platforms.

Key focus areas include trusted data exchange for cross-border trade, supply chain ecosystems, national digital infrastructure upgrades, digital identity solutions, and inclusive innovation. The Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations outlines a roadmap for scalable implementation.
